Lee Dewyze wins!!!!!!!

Who won American Idol Season 9?? It was exactly like how I predicted......I knew it!! I knew it!!! I knew it was going to be LEE DEWYZE!!! Yeaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyhhhhh!! Woooohoooooooo!!!! I'm so happy about it!!!! Yes! Yes! Yes!!

I was kinda worried about the results today......because Lee didn't perform as well as I hoped he would yesterday.....Crystal Bowersox seemed to have more impact whenever she performs except that her songs didn't really connect to me as much as Lee's......and I was thrilled that he had chosen songs that I love love love to hear.....like for instance "The Boxer" - Simon and Garfunkel..."Everybody Hurts" - R.E.M.....and the final one would be "Beautiful Day" - U2......I love U2 so much and it was great when he sang that song at the end of the show.  I noticed that in this year's American Idol finale......the final two contestants didn't have a "new" winning song to sing unlike previous years. I wonder why....?? I only realized it when Lee sang "Beautiful Day" at the end of the show......that was when it hit me that they didn't have a new song. Can't help but wonder why though.......since every year they would have one for each contestant. I guess "Beautiful Day" will be his single once he wins the Idol.... :)



What made me most happy in this year's finale was the fact that there were so many celebrities performing during the finale along with the contestants......so many big names entertained the night away .......it started off with the Bee Gees singing "How Deep Is Your Love"....with Aaron Kelly and Siobhan Magnus......wow...that song surely brought back a lot of good memories....I love the Bee Gees a lot!!! I memorize almost all their songs! They sounded great singing live!

A few other names I would like to mention here is Bret Michaels who sang the song "Every Rose Has it's Thorn"....with Casey James.....and then there was Joe Cocker singing "I'll Get By With A Little Help From My Friends" with Crystal Bowersox and Lee Dewyze......and then....who could forget Alanis Morrisette!!! Wow....I love her to bits!!! I love her song "Ironic" and "You Oughta Know".....gave me goose bumps I tell ya!

One of my favourites of the night would be when Janet Jackson sang.......I've never heard of that song but it sounded so beautiful......I quickly googled about it later after the show to find out the title....it was called "Nothing". She sang a medley composed of  "Again."....her latest single "Nothing" and finally her classic hit "Nasty Boys" at the Nokia Theater. I was in tears when I heard her sing "Nothing".....she sounded so much like Michael Jackson.....had goose bumps....beautiful voice..... :)

 

This year's American Idol is the final year for Simom Cowell......he won't be around for the next season.....gosh....that would be strange not having him around to judge the contestants.....I guess 10 years in the show was enough for him.....and it was the right time for him to leave. Will miss him though....I bet a lot of people are wondering who will replace him next season. :). I loved how they honored him in the  final show.....lovely...nicely done. :)  Even Paula Abdul had super nice things to say about Simon.....gosh, Paula was super adorable with her pink mini dress.....she looked so cute!

I really enjoyed the final result show tonight.....so much so that I viewed it twice on Astro - Star World  hehehehe......all because of the celebrities I suppose....not so much because I wanted to know who won because I already found out who won it online hahahaha......Yahoo!News gave it away this afternoon.......and I quickly informed my Mom about it.....she was as happy as I was when I told her Lee won! I'm just smiling ear to ear tonight :). All smiles!

Mangkuk tingkat delivery Part 20

Sorry ya for the late entry on the mangkuk tingkat episodes hehehe.........today's schedule was pretty hectic and I believe tomorrow will be another hectic day for me as well. But tomorrow and the day after, there won't be any mangkuk tingkat deliveries....hence no entries about it either....will have to wait till Sunday for the next one. I can't believe it.....it's already PART 20!! Wow......just 10 more to go before the mangkuk tingkat challenge is over. But will it ever be over......hmmm....that will be up to the mangkuk tingkat tauke to help us decide because only she can convince the chef to cook the menu according to our requests :) . So we will have to wait and see how it goes in the end.

What can I say.......I LOVE today's menu because there is that yummylicious kari ikan masin!!!! I'm not sure what they call it in English....but the direct translation would be "salted fish curry" hahahahaha!! :P I know I  know.....by right, I shouldn't be eating it because I'm not allowed to eat ikan masin......but the smell was too good for me to resist it!!!! I was drooling when I was taking the photos of the dishes hahahahaha.......told my Mom that I couldn't wait till 1.00pm to have lunch......had to have lunch straight away after taking the photos hahahaha....

I tell ya one thing.....if there is just that kari ikan masin.....and rice....that would suffice for me. No need to eat anything else......just rice and that curry....good enough to eat up till 2 plates of rice I tell ya! :) So delicious man! hehehehe! I didn't eat the cabbage though....thyroid patients are not allowed to eat cabbage......so I let my Mom and Aunt finish that up......so I guess we didn't leave anything for dinner.....as usual everything was eaten up during lunch time :).

Red eye.....

Here I am....starting my day at work at 2.00pm.....just like yesterday. I had a few things to settle from morning till just now before I could concentrate on my work. Had to help my aunt with her new house and stuff.....It's pretty exciting actually moving in to a new house.....  :) I know she just can't wait till everything is done so that she can start moving her things in it. I can't wait for her to settle in either. So happy for her :)

I can't believe the bed sheets are still in the washing machine since yesterday.....still not yet washed......sigh. Maybe when I'm in the mood later, I will do it....for now....I just want to do something more fun :). What is it that would be fun? Errrmmmm for me....it's definitely quilling hehehehe.....

Slept  quite early last night.....at 10.30pm.....because Mom told me so .... :P Usually I don't sleep that early.....usually it would be around 12.00am or 1.00am......but my Mom insists that I sleep early because I look so sickly these days. Yeah....moving at sloth speed nowadays.....and I could see that my eyes have  a lot of those red blood veins.....hahahaha......my eyes need rest.....yup.....wonder if I put a lot of cucumber on it, those red blood veins will go away. ...hmmmmm.....??

Do you notice that all the good things we do for others sometimes does not matter at all to them........?

You do one thing that makes them upset....a statement or an action.......and they suddenly forget why they liked us in the first place......suddenly nothing good you did for them in the past matters anymore......

One thing......just one thing......is enough to make all the difference.

Even though you had such a good intention.....to help them get back on their feet.....to make them happy again....after years of feeling so miserable about themselves....... all we wanted to do was to help....

Sad.....it's so sad when this happens......

So I'm reminding myself again today.......that I shall not interfere anymore......I shall not make anymore statements.....even though in my heart I want so badly to say how I really feel. Since I'm quite a frank person.....someone who tells it as it is....no hidden agendas.....no prawn behind the mee.....

I shall trust my own instincts from now on.....it's usually right on the mark. If I ever get that uneasy feeling in the heart again....I will follow it.....gotta learn to trust it. Coz it's usually right.   

If I have to be cruel in order to be kind to myself.......then so be it. I'm not going to let anybody hurt me this way anymore........enough is enough.....I've had it. I'm done......

Mangkuk tingkat delivery Part 19

These are the yummy menu for today :). Unlike other days...today's dishes are shared by 3 people.....me, my Mom and my aunt. I had to cook extra vegetable dish and fried some fish.....coz I was afraid that the mangkuk tingkat dishes today might not be enough for 3 people. I wasn't able to eat the ikan kembung anyways......so obviously I had to cook something else for myself....... :P

This is the first time my aunt gets the chance to eat the mangkuk tingkat dishes with us......and now that she gets to see what it's really like....she is enjoying it hehehe.....she too is interested with this service......but my Mom suggests that we share the order...cheaper  right hehehe.....I mean why order separately....it's much more expensive if we order it separately. We are thinking of ordering the mangkuk tingkat dishes next month for 3 - 4 people. And like I said yesterday....I'm really hoping that the tauke would accept our requests to change the menu to a much more suitable and healthier one for us......hopefully it will work out in the end :).

Busy day.....

What a day!! From morning till now....busy busy busy.........phew! I managed to do the laundry.....clean the house...and even cooked a little today before my aunt arrived at noon. It was amazing that I managed to get it all done before she arrived! LOL! I was really worried uhuhuhu.......but thank God....God gave me the strength to do it all. :P

Now what I'm worried about is......the mountain of laundry that I have to fold later this afternoon hahahaha......and I do still have some bed sheets to wash in the washing machine......haiyaaaaa......so tired laaa.....all for the sake of not wanting to hear her nag.....that I have to finish doing all the laundry by today. Because I know she cannot stand looking at dirty laundry. :P What to do.....I don't like having a lot of dirty laundry around either but since I hate doing laundry and wanting to save water....(yeah right)....hahahaha.....just admit it Lin....you are super lazy to do laundry :P.

Anyways.....I'm so super tired right now.....and was only able to start working around 2.30pm after we had our lunch......and right now I'm busy checking the names of the participants for my blog giveaway.....and later I have to do the lucky draw. Quite a lot of participants this time around. Checking them one by one can be time consuming......so I hope they are patient enough to wait for me to make the announcement later in the day. I really want to make that announcement today, by hook or by crook. I wonder who will win! ehehehhee!

My aunt is back here today to see her new home and also to live in it soon.....which is by the way, just across the street.....a stone throw away from my Mom's house. So now we will be neighbours! :) Great! I can't wait for her house to be ready.....and she can move in.....Well....it's almost ready....so hopefully by next week she can move in. I love her new home....so cute.....just nice...not too big and not too small...comel jer hehehehe......I love single storey houses....so cute don't you think? :)

Ok....I'm off to work again.....will blog some more later on once everything else is settled. I wish I can just blog all day and not have to work.......hmmmm.....wouldn't that be lovely :).

Mangkuk tingkat delivery Part 18

Yayyyyyyyyy!!!!!! Today's mangkuk tingkat menu has two fish dishes!! Yes! Yes! Yes! The mangkuk tingkat tauke actually listened to us!!! Just yesterday my Mom called her up and told her that she wanted more fish in the menu and we got what we wanted today! See?? Constant pleas really did the job hahahhaa......if we persists and keep giving them feedback......one day they will listen to our needs.... :)

My Mom and I did discussed about it and she conveyed to the tauke what our requests were. And today the tauke managed to satisfy our requests. I'm so happy about it!! :). Now that they know what we can and cannot eat, I really hope that we will be able to enjoy the mangkuk tingkat menu more. The tauke understands that not everyone can consume what they serve. Especially if the people eating it are old folks........with health problems etc etc. So it's not suitable for them. My Mom is given the permission from the tauke to think of what type of dishes that would be suitable for us to eat on a daily basis. She is to present it to the tauke to consider. The tauke said we must get the green light from the chef herself. So if the chef agrees to cook a separate menu for us......then we might consider taking the mangkuk tingkat delivery again next month. My Mom just cannot tolerate eating seafood every other day......it's bad for her health. And I don't want her to get sick because of this either. So I really hope all will work out well.

My Mom told me that she really likes this mangkuk tingkat service....I mean....who doesn't??? I love it too......hahahaha.....simply because I now have more time during the morning and afternoons to concentrate on my work. I no longer have to spend hours in the kitchen fixing lunch with my Mom. It's so convenient! Plus....the food are so tasty! Sometimes even better than the ones we buy outside at the food stalls or small restaurants. Seriously! AND.....it's cheap! We save time and money and energy! :)

We suggested to the tauke.......to consider making food that are more suitable for old folks and people with health problems to eat.......like for instance......food that are grilled instead of fried......more soup dishes....more vegetable dishes.....and also fish...at least 3 out of the 5 times, we would like to have fish in the menu. We can take the chicken on the other 2 days. I'm sure many of my Mom's friends who are single....living alone in the house would love to take this order if the tauke is willing to cater the needs of the old folks......believe me.....there are many people out there who are old and are tired of cooking everyday. They want to use their time for something more meaningful. So if the tauke can realise this issue.....perhaps they can get more customers. :) There is certainly a demand for it......and hopefully the tauke is willing to supply! :)

Panic attack!!!!

I'm having a panic attack right now...........my aunt is coming down from KL tomorrow and the house is in a mess!!!! My working room especially is in a huge mess!! I gotta a huge basket full of laundry yet to be washed. I don't usually get so nervous like this unless there is a cleanliness freak coming over to the house hahahaha!

I'll have to speed up the process and clean up as fast as I can today or else!!! Be prepared to have my ears bleed from constant nagging from the cleanliness freak aunt...LOL!! Seriously.....I love her....but, can't stand the constant yapping about how things should and should not be......I've got enough problems to handle and the last thing I want to hear is about how to manage the house. :P

My Mom and I are both having panic attacks right now and we tend to feed ourselves with comfort food to calm our nerves down...LOL! For me it would definitely be something that is chocolate related.... :P Anything with chocolates in it......hmmmmmmm........will have to take another dosage of chocolate after this......I get the attacks once in every 2 hours...... :P Ciao! I'm off to "chocolatize" myself!

Mangkuk tingkat delivery Part 17

What can I say.....today's mangkuk tingkat menu was really delicious. Hmmm.....looks like there are good days.....and bad days. And today was one of the good ones :)

On Mondays....the weekly maid comes over the house to do the cleaning.....so she gets to share the food with us too......therefore, there were no leftovers as all of the food were eaten up during lunch time. :) Alhamdulillah......

Ginger flowers

Lovely! Believe it or not.....this is the first time I've seen a ginger flower.....and they are quite beautiful don't you think so?? I took this photo a few days ago but was not able to blog about it at that time......so I saved it for today.

I think.....in my Mom's garden....they are probably hundreds types of trees/plants...it's so interesting....especially when there are new trees I've never seen before. My Mom likes to collect them.....either she buys them from the nursery...or she would get them for free from her friend's garden.....hehehe....most of the time they love to exchange trees/plants with each other. Yes...retirees love to garden.....and gardening for them is something that is like surfing the internet for us young people....LOL! Which basically means that they just can't live without their garden! LOL!  Believe you me! They are inseparable! hehehhe!

Like my Mom for instance.....she is so in love with her garden.....so much so that sometimes it effects her movement.......she is not willing to travel anywhere for more than 1 day....because she is so afraid that her trees/plants might die due to lack of water.....:P. I can understand that.......unless, it's a rainy season.....so her plants will be safe :). It's so difficult for me to convince my Mom to travel anywhere because of this.......oh well......what to do....hehehehe . It's her pride and joy ........and I am happy she is passionate about it.....it makes her happy and contented....and that's all that matters. :)
