Alice in Wonderland

I had the chance to go catch a movie last Monday with my aunt at Alor Setar Mall. This is the first time for me to go to that mall.....it was really nice! The mall itself looked so run down from the outside, but once you step in, it's totally different! Don't be fooled by the image you see outside! hihihihi!

Well.....actually "Alice in Wonderland" is one of the most anticipated movies of this year. I have been waiting to see this since I saw the trailer last year. Of course another reason for watching is because Johnny Depp is starring in it as the Mad Hatter! I must say the costume design and the makeup is brilliant.....for all characters in this movie. I didn't really like his acting that much in this movie though, but I do like Helena Bonham Carter who played the Red Queen.....she was brilliant!

The only thing that frustrated me was the screenplay and the way the story was told. I found it quite boring....huhuhuhu. I've seen other versions of Alice in Wonderland before and I loved them. Somehow in this one I didn't even though the special effects were so cool.

I noticed that Alice's costumes were mostly made using cloth that came in shades of blue! I love that! I love most of her costumes in this movie.....love her hair too.....it's kinda like mine except she's blonde hihihihihihi! :) I also love that cat! Cheshire cat! He is so charming!

The cycling track

The photos above shows the places where I ride my bicycle almost everyday nearby my Mom's house early in the morning. Isn't it a beautiful place? I love it here. The road you see is just a small lane that I use as my cycling track. I would do at least 5 rounds on this track every time and then take a ride back home.

I especially love the big trees. I'm sure they are more than 50 years old. My Mom and Dad bought their house here more than 30 years ago....so obviously those trees were here before that. Just look at the size of those trees. They are huge. But I love cycling by them in the morning, breathing in the fresh air, I can smell the grass, flowers and leaves from the trees. I could also spot quite a handful of different species of birds. Some I've never seen before. It's so peaceful here. Of course I'm not the only one cycling there. There are quite a handful of people doing so. It's always nice to have company :).

Yellow snow? :)

I never thought that I would be able to see this again......till yesterday when I came back from town with my aunt and I saw those tiny yellow flowers falling from the trees at the park nearby my house. I remember when I was a teenager, I would ride my bicycle and pass by this park on the way to school. Once a year, usually between February and March.....there will be a time when the big trees at the park, flower. I absolutely adore it because, when there is strong wind, millions of those yellow flowers would fall slowly on the ground, looking like yellow snow....hehehehe.....it's so beautiful! There are so many of these trees at the park and when they all flower at the same time, it's gorgeous!!!

Too bad I didn't have my camera with me when I saw those flowers fall to the ground yesterday morning. And today when I did bring it with me when I went cycling, there was no wind.....and so, I couldn't take photos of it to share it here. I was only able to take photos of those flowers that are still on the trees and the ones that had fallen earlier.

They only flower once a year......so I guess if I'm still around next year, I hope to experience this miracle from God again...... :) It's too beautiful to miss!!

Exhausted....

It's been quite sometime since I last wrote anything here about myself....huhuhuhu.....it's been pretty hectic here at home juggling with work. I sometimes wonder how do I do it......being sick and all and yet I still manage to get up every morning, and work work work. I'm happy that I get to do some cycling at least 6 times a week every morning, with 4 to 5 rounds of it at the park for my cardio.....plus the other exercise that I also do at home. It helps release the stress and keeps me calm.

All I can think about everyday these days is how to improve my business.....improve my designs...and of course improve my health. Because if I don't have good health...there will be no business for me. I have to keep reminding myself about that. Must never forget to give my body the rest it needs everyday. Must have a time to release stress, a time to laugh, a time to just be happy about something. It's important :). I don't want to get a stroke any time soon hahahaha.....so must try to be happy no matter what happens!

The coming week will even more hectic for me.....God knows how I am going to deal with it. I can only do one thing at a time....step by step....little by little till I get all of it done. Puke out all the stress inside and resume back to work. Guess what?? Just yesterday I discovered in Youtube loads of cartoon videos of Speedy Gonzales, Sylvester, The Roadrunner and Wild E Coyote......gosh those cartoons sure does brings back all the good memories. I had a good laugh!! A real good one! They are just so funny. I realize that they just don't make great cartoons like that anymore. Thank God for Youtube that I can view them again and again. These cartoon ideas are just pure genius. Love them!

What a lovely surprise!

I just found out today that my customer blogged about her husband's surprise birthday party at her humble blog. The best thing about it was that I get to see my handmade card in it too! Here's how that happened. You see, she ordered a special pop up birthday card from me about 2 weeks ago. She wanted to surprise her husband with that special card.....among other things. And of course there were plenty more surprises that she did for her dearest husband other than giving him that handmade card :).

She is staying in Sarawak and he is working in Selangor if I am not mistaken. So many miles away from each other huhuhuhu......how sad. I can't imagine how it would be to be separated like that for many many months from your loved one. Well, they will soon be reunited one fine day hehehe.....

So, I made that pop up birthday card as per request, including adding a printed picture of a DSLR camera since her husband loves that camera SO MUCH! hehehe! I was suppose to add it in anyway I can....wherever I want in or outside the card as long as it's there! To be honest, I almost forgot to add it in till the last minute when I checked back the request. That's when I found out that I gotta add it! By hook or by crook! hahaha....by then it was a bit too late for me to add it anywhere because it was so crowded with heart shapes at the back of the pop up couple I did. So a thought occurred to me....why not make it look like he is hanging it from his neck. Like, it's inseparable between him and his DSLR. I'm so happy to know that he is loving the card so much. It just makes my day! I'm smiling from ear to ear! hehehe!

Purple lotus flower...

I've been waiting for this moment for the longest time......a few months actually!! Ever since my Mom bought this last year. I was the one who insisted that she bought it at the plant nursery because I loved the color of the lotus flower so much. My Mom didn't like it as much at first because it was pricey and because the flower was a bit....you know......SMALL! Well, compared to the other lotus type plant we have here at our house, this one is considered pretty small.

This one is also a bit different because the leaves are floating on the water itself compared to the other ones we have where the leaves are above the water level. I for one have always loved this type of lotus flower because I always imagine some frog resting on the leaf hahaha......well, a teeny tiny frog perhaps, not a big fat one because surely the leaf would dive in the water due to the heavy weight of the frog hahahaha. LOL!

I also noticed that the flower only opens up in bloom during the day time.....at night time it closes up and opens up again the next day........so beautiful.....love it! :)

Starfruit tree

Do you see what I see?? hehehhe ......yeah, that's right! It's a couple of starfruit hanging from the tree. My Mom had that tree at our house for years now but we never really had a good bite from the fruit itself because it always get attacked by the insects before we ever get the chance to see it actually grow big enough to eat. So this time I was fortunate enough to see it grow that big. So cool!

I also love looking at the flowers. It's so cute and small.....purplish pink in color. The tree flower a lot but like I said, we never get the chance to see it fruit that much because of the insects. We don't even do anything to prevent the insects from attacking it. We just let nature and God decide what will happen hehehehe LOL! Truth is.....we are just plain lazy to do anything about it!! hahaha!
