Last day of Mangkuk Tingkat Delivery!

Today marks the end of the mangkuk tingkat delivery to our house. NO MORE  mangkuk tingkat food after this from tomorrow onwards! I think we had enough of the mangkuk tingkat food for this year. We were thinking of continuing the order till the fasting month comes but because we cannot stand eating the food anymore that we had to put it to a stop.

Actually I'm pretty sad that it had to end today. I really thought that this service would work out for us since we are all very busy with work and was hoping that this could help reduce the time we spend in the kitchen cooking lunch. But unfortunately, since the mangkuk tingkat tauke didn't keep her promise to provide for us  the kind of food that we requested from her last month, so we had to end the service. She promised that she won't repeat the same menu for the second month....but she did!!! And she said she won't give us anymore seafood in the menu because we can't eat seafood.....but she did give us seafood!!! Arrrrghhhh....why laaaa like that??? A promise is a promise right? It's like as if she didn't care about her own customer. We didn't matter at all to her. :(

If you look at the photos above, those are the items what we received today for our lunch. And none of it is good for me or my Mom to eat. The first item is the sayur petola....which they cooked with so much of coconut milk....it will hurt my already problematic liver. The second item is fried fish....and it's the kind of fish that I'm allergic to. The third item is also something I'm allergic to, which is salted fish with chillies. And the last item....the sambal belacan...with ulam. Sambal belacan is the worst.....if I eat that....I'll be scratching myself for at least 2 weeks. So, in the end, the person who have to eat all this is my Mom. And she herself is not suppose to be taking all this stuff either because of her high blood pressure. :( We also noticed that ever since we started eating this mangkuk tingkat food, we have put on so much of weight!! The food they serve us everyday is so oily and fattening.

I just don't get it why didn't she just listen to our requests. It's not like we are asking too much. We are just asking her to provide food that are more balanced and healthy for everyone to eat. Oh well....what to do. I guess from now on, we will just have to figure out how to prepare simple and easy to do lunches for us to eat everyday. This way, we can control the amount of oil, salt and sugar in our cooking and add in more fiber too. Hopefully we can lose the weight we gained for the past 2 months of eating the mangkuk tingkat food. I personally need to lose it quick before raya comes otherwise I won't be able to fit in my raya clothes hahahahaha!! Yikes! :D

Jom Rasa & Menang!

As I was bloghopping today I came across this Nuffnang advertisement about High 5 bread. I quickly clicked on the advertisement and went straight to it's website to check out how to enter the contest. Honestly I hate writing slogans. And thank God this one does not involve having to do any of that. Phew!

All I needed to do was buy any of their bread products and cut out the bar codes labels and attach it to the form. Fill up the form with my personal details and answer 3 objective questions and then I can post it to the address stated on the form. I am allowed to submit more than one entry but only eligible to win one prize. Easy right??? Soooooo easy peazy....I love entering easy contest like this! LOL!

So because of this, I'll change brands today! LOL! From Gardenia to High 5....all because I want to enter this SO SIMPLE contest hahahahaha.

Want to join as well?? Go to the website link below to find out how! :)

Libresse

Look at what I got in the mail today! Hehehehehe! Free sanitary pads! LOL!!

A few weeks ago I saw the advertisement on Nuffnang regarding this new sanitary pad called Libresse. I quickly went to it's website to check it out. The website was really interesting and fun! There's even online games there for us to play :). Then I saw on the other pages of the website about getting free samples from Libresse. I would love to give it a try to see if it's better than the other product I'm currently using. So all I did was filled up the form online and waited for 3-4 weeks for the samples to arrive at my doorstep :). Don't you just love to get free stuff??? hahahahaha...... I do!!

I'm loving Libresse by the way.....it's so comfortable to use unlike any other sanitary pads I've used before. This one is definitely here to stay. I'm definitely changing brands today because it's so much more cheaper than the other brand I'm using plus of course the fact that it gives me the comfort and security that I need. :)

So if you want free sanitary pads....visit the link below! LOL! :D

Stranger in Moscow - Michael Jackson

Last night I watched Michael Jackson's History tour concert on TV....another rerun....but I love it since it's been quite a while since they showed it on TV. The TV stations are showing his movie, biography, concerts etc in memory of his death. Every time I watch him perform I kept thinking.....what a great entertainer he was.....he was not just a great singer.....but everything you can ever imagine one could be.

This song is probably one of my favorite from Michael since last year. The video itself is so beautiful. Very artistic.  Have a listen......to another beautiful performance from Michael....

Artist: Michael Jackson
Song Title: Stranger In Moscow
Album: HIStory
Year:1995

Lyrics:

I was wandering in the rain
Mask of life, feelin' insane
Swift and sudden fall from grace
Sunny days seem far away
Kremlin's shadow be littlin' me
Stalin's tomb won't let me be
On and on and on it came
Wish the rain would just let me

How does it feel (How does it feel)
How does it feel
How does it feel
When you're alone
And you're cold inside

Here abandoned in my fame
Armageddon of the brain
KGB was doggin' me
Take my name and just let me be
Then a beggar boy called my name
Happy days will drown the pain
On and on and on it came
And again, and again, and again...
Take my name and just let me be

How does it feel (How does it feel)
How does it feel
How does it feel
How does it feel
How does it feel (How does it feel now)
How does it feel
How does it feel
When you're alone
And you're cold inside

How does it feel (How does it feel)
How does it feel
How does it feel
How does it feel
How does it feel (How does it feel now)
How does it feel
How does it feel
When you're alone
And you're cold inside

Like stranger in Moscow
Lord have mercy
Like stranger in Moscow
Lord have mercy
We're talkin' danger
We're talkin' danger, baby
Like stranger in Moscow
We're talkin' danger
We're talkin' danger, baby
Like stranger in Moscow
I'm living lonely
I'm living lonely, baby
Like a Stranger in Moscow

One day in your life - Michael Jackson

It's been a year since Michael's passing...time sure flies real fast these days. I felt like it was just a few months ago that it happened. Kinda sad day today. A lot of things happened today that made me a little down. Thought of this song that Michael sang so beautifully.....have a listen....

 One day in your life
You'll remember a place
Someone's touching your face
You'll come back and you'll look around you

One day in your life
You'll remember the love you found here
You'll remember me somehow
Though you don't need me now
I will stay in your heart
And when things fall apart
You'll remember one day...

One day in your life
When you find that you're always waiting
For the love we used to share
Just call my name
And I'll be there

(Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh...)

You'll remember me somehow
Though you don't need me now
I will stay in your heart
And when things fall apart
You'll remember one day...

One day in your life
When you find that you're always longing
For the love we used to share
Just call my name
And I'll be there

(Ohh...)

Internet Entrepreneurship Training

*Photo taken from Starz Smart Business website*

Remember the web design and online marketing course I attended last week? Well, so far I've managed to apply a lot of the knowledge I've gained from the 2 days course in my own online business. I am surprised by the results I've gotten in just a little over a week after I attended the course. I've gained so much of confidence too because now I know what I can do online and how to do it on my own. Before I attended the course, I was not aware of how easy it can be to do an online business. I mean,  yes, I was doing it already for the past 3 years but I was struggling with it because I was ignorant about a lot of  things and didn't know how to go about it. I didn't realise that there are so many things that I can do online, at the comfort of my own home. All I needed was a computer or laptop and I'm ready to go!

There are so many channels out there in the Internet that can help me with my online business. Marketing my business is a breeze now. It's so easy! I wish I knew all of this 3 years ago. Life for me would have been so much better if I knew all of this knowledge back then. But still, I'm grateful. At least it's not too late. I can still make it. As long as there is effort, there will be results. I probably won't be able to get to see a huge result in such a short period of time. But with a good plan, and be consistent in it, I'm sure it will work out great for me.

I'm so glad I decided to attend the course. Because the course really did changed the way I think about online business. For those of you who are interested to attend the exact same course I attended, there will be one last chance for you to do so on the 26th and 27th of June 2010 in Puchong, Selangor. This is because that particular course will no longer be available starting next month. If you are keen on attending it, there is still a chance today for you to register for the course online at the link HERE.

But having said that, the good news is, starting next month, there will be a new training that's replacing the web design and online marketing course. This training that will be conducted by Starz Smart Business's founder, Robert Paragasam, called Internet Entrepreneurship Training, is similar to the web design and online marketing course except that in this training the information given is more advanced and better than the previous one. More participants will be able to register in this training as well. They are targeting about 15-20 people per training session.

Please visit this link HERE to get more details regarding this special Internet Entrepreneurship Training. Everything you need to know about the training is available at that link. You can register to attend the training at the same link as well. Do visit and change your life today!!

Oh what a beautiful morning!

I suddenly thought of this song this morning, because for the past few days now the morning starts with the drizzling of the rain resulting in the air outside becoming so cool and breezy. It's so wonderful to get all of  this now since we've been experiencing such hot sunny weather for so long. I'm just enjoying the moment and having a good time. Although I do have some things going on in my life right now that can stress me out but somehow the universe has a way of helping me out and making me feel good whenever I feel down. It's God sent I believe. :)

I saw the film Oklahoma when I was still very young.....way back in primary school. They used to show the musicals a lot back then, including The Sound of Music, My Fair Lady, The King and I and many more. I loved listening to them singing in the movie so much. So much so that after a few times viewing them I managed to memorize some of the songs in it. :)

The songs from the movies really can sometimes make you feel so good and brightens up your day. They are  feel good songs ya!  So have a listen and enjoy! Have a good day everyone!

Lyrics by OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN II
Music by RICHARD RODGERS

There's a bright golden haze on the meadow,
There's a bright golden haze on the meadow,
The corn is as high as an elephant's eye,
An' it looks like it's climbin' clear up to the sky.

Oh, what a beautiful mornin',
Oh, what a beautiful day.
I got a beautiful feelin'
  Everything's goin' my way.

All the cattle are standin' like statues,
All the cattle are standin' like statues,
They don't turn their heads as they see me ride by,
But a little brown maverick is winkin' her eye.

Oh, what a beautiful mornin',
Oh, what a beautiful day.
I got a beautiful feelin'
  Everything's goin' my way.

All the sounds of the earth are like music,
All the sounds of the earth are like music,
The breeze is so busy it don't miss a tree,
And a ol' weepin' willer is laughin' at me!

Oh, what a beautiful mornin',
Oh, what a beautiful day,
I got a beautiful feelin'
  Everything's goin' my way.
Oh, what a beautiful day.

Oh what a beautiful morning!SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend

My Mind is the Scene of the Crime

poster
Hmmm....you guys must be wondering what the title of my blog post today is all about right? hehehe! Well you see, Nuffnang is giving away free tickets to 70 Glitterati Nuffnangers with their guests to catch the film Inception a day before its release date in Malaysia! All courtesy of Warner Bros Pictures! To win a pair of invites to catch Leonardo DiCaprio in the big screen all I had to do is write a blog post and share what is my most valuable secret in my mind that I don't want to be stolen.

Gosh.....that's a big thing to ask us Nuffnangers! Sharing our deepest and most valuable secret in our mind. Usually if you say it's a secret.....then it's a secret right? Meaning, you are suppose to keep it to yourself....and no one shall know what it is....till death do you part. If you share it with someone, then, it's no longer a secret. But for the sake of this contest, I shall reveal it.......finally..

Do understand that I do have lots of valuable secrets in my mind that I don't want to be stolen.....they are secrets that I have kept with me in my mind for years......and out of all them, I have one that is the most valuable! If I were to share it here, exactly what it is.....I think I would be in trouble! Ok....I'll give you a hint......it has something to do with....... how I get my ideas.

Yes.....it's a special magic power I had since I was a little girl.  I inherited it from my ancestors.  I never told anyone about this before. It's very very valuable to me and for those who are involved in the creative industry. Without it, it would be difficult for me to get my ideas. If someone were to be able to steal this valuable secret from my mind, I would be ruined!! I'll never be able to be creative again! Oh no no no no no!!!! I'm so scared if that day ever comes. I have sworn not to tell anyone how it works in my mind. Not a single soul knows about it. It's very valuable indeed and I shall never reveal how I use it to anyone. I was chosen......chosen to keep this valuable secret....till death do I part with it.

I would love to see this sci-fi action film and see how Leonardo does it. How can he steal the secrets hidden in someone's mind, subconsciously when the person is in a dream state and their mind is at most vulnerable. Watch this trailer.....it's so cool....I wouldn't want to miss watching this!!!!

Father's Day

Today is Father's day.....but I don't get to celebrate father's day with my Dad because he passed away almost 16 years ago. On days like this I'd like to think about all the good things about him. I sometimes wish I knew more about him before he left us. I guess I have to accept what happened and move forward. I never forgot about him. Sometimes I get dreams about him....and it always seemed so real.

Miss you Dad...... :(

Bubur labu manis

During lunch time yesterday my family and I went out for lunch at a restaurant in town with our close friends. We had "nasi campur" and for dessert we had "bubur labu manis". Labu means pumpkin. It's a sweet dessert with pumpkin in it. Yummy yummy :)

My Mom knows how to make this dessert but usually when we make this ourselves we tend to make more and eat more. LOL! So, that's why we usually just buy them.....then we won't over eat! hehehe. Not good to eat this every day. Very fattening. Once in a while....perhaps once a month is ok. Just to satisfy our cravings hehehe.

Website Design and Online Marketing Course - Day 2

I attended the second day of the Web Design and Online Marketing course this morning, which was also the last day of the course conducted by Mr Robert Paragasam of Starz Smart Business at the Swiss Inn Hotel in Sungai Petani , Kedah. I wish there was a third, fourth or fifth day of the course.....but sigh.....it was not up to me to decide that. If it was up to me, I would have wanted to extend the course for a few more days.......as I felt like there was just so much more to learn from my Sifu (Robert). So much to learn....so little time. Time just flew by so fast and before I knew it , it was already 6 o'clock in the evening and it was time for me to go home.

Honestly, I really enjoyed today's subject.....ONLINE MARKETING! Who would have thought that this subject would be so interesting! Another eye opener for me! Yay!! Gosh....I think my eyes just kept popping  in disbelief every time Robert told me what are the things that can help me market my product online. I can't believe that there are so many channels or tools out there that can generate income into my business blogs and I never knew how powerful these tools are until today. I have been taking them for granted all the while. I kept thinking how ignorant I was about these things. Simple as they seem and yet powerful nonetheless. If I were to use it the right way, it would make a tremendous difference on my online business. I'm so grateful to have known about all this now. I do believe that the timing was perfect. God always knows best.  :)

Here are the topics that we manage to cover from 10.00am till 6.00pm today:

1) Introduction to Online Marketing
2) Learning to Use Autoresponders
3) How put the Facebook's LIKE button and using it effectively
4) How to Use Tell-A-Friend Button
5) How to do Link Exchanges
6) How to Market through Yahoo and Google
7) How to Market through Facebook effectively
8) How to create Your Own Videos and Market it
9) How to do Article Marketing
10) How to do Signature Marketing
11) How to Promote Your Business using Classifieds
12) How to market with a Blog.

Once you read the list, it does look like there is a lot of work to be done right? It sure does!!! Nothing comes easy in this world. It will take a lot of my time to use these tools to make it work for me. But no worries as I'm taking my time to do this at my own pace. I'll be following Robert's advice on how to manage all this tools on my own. I couldn't agree more with the methods he suggested to me as I believe what he is saying makes perfect sense.

Oh! Before I forget.....yesterday I completely forgot to take photos of the course, so today, I managed to do so with the help of Robert's sweet wife Kavitha. She helped me take photos of us during the course. The guy you see in the white t-shirt is Robert and the guy sitting across me is Mr. Ravi Maran, my one and only course mate! Nice guy! As you can see, we were the only two people who attended the two day course. That gave us the luxury of getting full attention from Robert. For me, the price I paid for the course this time was worth every penny. And to think that I almost  couldn't make it in the first place. But thanks to Robert, I was able to make it happen and make a difference in my life from today onwards. I walked out of that course today with a totally different mindset and feeling so blessed! :)

Website Design and Online Marketing Course - Day 1

Early this morning I went to Sungai Petani, Kedah to attend a course on Website Design and Online Marketing. I blogged about it a few days ago and I can't believe  that the day finally came today for me to attend it. Actually, deep inside, I couldn't be more excited as I've never attended a course that is related to website design and online marketing before. So it's a pretty awesome feeling!!

My Mom and Aunt accompanied me there. As usual, they don't trust that I can go there all by myself.....especially my Mom who is always so worried that her daughter might get kidnapped along the way. LOL! But seriously, with all the crazy things happening these days.....who wouldn't be worried ya? So they dropped me there at the hotel and headed for their shopping activities in Sungai Petani. It's not always that they get to travel in that area.....so they took the chance to enjoy themselves at the shopping complexes while I get busy with the course hehehe. :)

The course was held at the Swiss Inn Hotel in Sungai Petani, Kedah. The person conducting the course was Mr. Robert Paragasam, the founder of Starz Smart Business. The course is actually a 2 days course, that starts from 10.00am till 6.00pm respectively. So today's course concentrated mostly on the Website Design. I couldn't be happier because this is something that I've always wanted to learn about. Honestly, I've always wanted to make my own website.....don't get me wrong....just because I want to learn how to make my own website does not mean that I will leave my blogs.......coz I do love blogging....it's just that I would love to take that next step for my online handmade card business. And today....that dream came true for me.  I must say that what I learned today was a real eye opener. I felt like all this time I was asleep.....sleeping while everybody else had their eyes wide open in the online world. Today, I was awaken. Finally.....asleep no more.

Here are the topics that we manage to cover from 10.00am till 6.00pm today:

1) Introduction to Online Businesses
2) Getting Your Own Domain and Web Hosting
3) Learning to to use Kompozer (Web Editor)
4) Learning to use FileZilla
5) Creating Your First Website and Uploading It
6) Working with Fonts
7) Working with Images
8) Embedding Videos
9) Making Your Website Receive Payments using Paypal
10) Creating a Professional Marketing or Corporate Website in Minutes

Basically, Robert's way of conducting the course was amazingly easy for me to comprehend. For people like me who are not that IT savvy, I must say, it was very well planned and straight to the point! He showed me how easy it was to build my own website. Of course, at first I had some problems remembering the steps....but with much practice, it was a fun thing for me to play with. I just love the fact that there is so much of freedom involved when we can build our own website. It's so liberating!

I also wanted to share here how happy I am that I can now use PayPal!!! You have no idea how long I wanted to have this service at my business blog! I was so ignorant about it all this while until I came to know Robert and he was the one who helped me find my way with PayPal. All this time I never knew that I was suppose to make my debit card internet transaction enabled. Now that it's settled, how incredibly easy payments can be made through this wonderful service. I can now receive payments from customers from any part of the world! Super!

I can't wait to learn about online marketing tomorrow!!!! Woooooohooooooo!

A change is gonna come.....

Gosh.....I'm so tired right now.....tired of talking as well.....been doing a lot of talking today....discussing this and that....and bla bla bla bla blaaaaaaaaaaa.......So tired of it.......I only get  to be online again in the evening after spending just a little time online in the morning.....was out of the house all afternoon to help my Aunt with her new home furnishings and grocery shopping! Phew!

Feel so exhausted from work too......gosh, there is just so much of work to be done and honestly I just feel like taking a very long break. I just don't feel so good the past couple of days as well.......I think working from morning till late at night for months has taken a tow on me. But I guess that's how it is when I'm trying to be successful in what I do for a living.......after wasting my time all these years not doing what I love......then after finding out what my dreams are.....now I'm pursuing it full force. But the body ain't cooperating with what the mind wants it to achieve. :P

I've registered today for the Web Design and Online Marketing course which I blogged about yesterday. I really hope this course will help me improve my online business. I really desperately need help on this matter and I guess this is one of the ways I can do to make it happen. I can't imagine doing anything else right now other than the online business. I'm so comfortable with it already. I never want to work in the corporate sector ever again.  I seriously want my life to change for the better....
A change is gonna come.....oh yes it will.....soon enough.

Online business

Recently I was introduced by a good friend of mine to this really cool website owned by Robert Parasagam who is the founder of Starz Smart Business. This website is a great website for people who are interested  in learning how to get started with the online business plus getting more traffic to their websites or blogs. Robert has provided a lot of great tips and easy to understand steps, followed by very interesting video tutorials on how to make it happen.

Most of you may not know that I have been struggling with my online business for the past 3 years. Only for the past few months now that I've found out about how to get people to notice my blogs more. I was doing it the wrong way all the while. I didn't have anyone to advise me regarding this matter in the beginning. I learned about the online business world mostly on my own....through research.....googling and inquiries from fellow bloggers. No doubt that some of them are willing to help me out....but some are not so accommodating parting with their knowledge. I've never attended any course related to the online business......I didn't even know if there was any available....and even if there was one, I couldn't afford to attend it. LOL! Yup....I was quite broke actually hehehe....So I learned it the hard way......the "free" way.....and whatever way I knew how to get the information from in order to make my online business alive and kicking so to speak! hehe!

A lot of people have come to me to find out how they too can do online business and be successful in it. I do try my best to provide them with the basic necessary information they can use to start it on their own. But, of course I can't do it alone. I do feel that it's better if they can get the proper details from a good channel. A one stop center where they can go to for all the information they need to build a great online business.

That is why I would like to introduce to all my readers this great website, Starz Smart Business, where you can get all the information you need to start your own online business. This website also provides you with personal assistance from the owner himself. That's what makes it extra special :). He is also conducting courses on web design and online marketing now. For those of you who are very much interested in venturing into this field, I suggest that you attend these courses for a much clearer view on the subject.....and also come out of it well informed and ready to start your own online business. :)

The Tree Top Walk

What a nice beautiful Thursday it is today! The weather so cool and breezy.......the rain....drizzling outside. I'm enjoying my coffee now.....if there was cream puffs to go along with that, it's even better. But on second thought....better not....as I'm trying to eat healthily now hehehehe.....

Since yesterday I kept thinking about The Tree Top Walk at Sungai Sedim........I was suppose to join my Mom and Aunt on that trip.....but because of work, I was not able to participate. They all had a great time there......but my Aunt does not want to go there again. When I asked her what was her reason......she said that the traveling sucks! The road was bad as well. But still, I want to go there......just once! I'll try to persuade my Mom to accompany me there one day heheheh.....hopefully I can go there this year. The tree top walk is actually situated in Kulim, Kedah. About 2 hours and a half drive from Alor Setar.

To get inside the area.....they had to pay for the entrance.....and the ticket costs RM10.00....but since most of them were senior citizens....they were able to get the tickets at a much cheaper price which was only RM6.00 each ehehehehe. But they had to be persuasive with the person in charge in order to get that price! hahahaha....the power of persuasion! LOL!

I love looking at the river!!!! I want to dive in!!! Huhuhuhuhuhuhu! Wish I was there! But what to do....work beckons! I wonder if anyone recognize the fruits on that tree at the photo above.....it's a fig tree! Yup....but the fruits are not yet ready to be picked....still too young to be eaten.

It is actually a beautiful place to visit but unfortunately there is no maintenance. The place needs to be maintained for the public to have a much comfortable stay there. They didn't even know where to go and change into their bathing attire as there weren't any signs of a changing room anywhere in sight. Too bad ya? If only it was more accommodating to the visitors. But even so.....people still take the trouble to visit because it is such a beautiful place to go to. My advice would be to visit it early in the morning before it gets too hot!!!

Facebook

I have not been so active in Facebook for quite a while now. I remember how obsessed I was before with Facebook when I was first invited to join in that social networking site way back in 2007. I was invited by my first online crush ehehehhee.....LOL! ;) If it wasn't for him I would probably not even consider joining it. This is because I was already a member in other social networking sites and the thought of joining another one just didn't seem a favourable thing to do at the time. Like I said....it was only because I was invited. But things sure changed after that!

The first thing I noticed about Facebook was the color. I love the color of the logo....BLUE....my favorite color :). I was also attracted by the layout. Everything was blue and white.....and the layout of the profile was pleasing to the eyes......user friendly too. There were many applications inside it that we can use to entertain ourselves....games, groups....you name it...they got it. The games they had in Facebook really did wasted my time.....hahahaha. It was an obsession that I couldn't let go off because it was so entertaining for me........mostly jigsaw puzzles...word puzzles....scrabble....car races and stuff. No, I don't play FARMVILLE!! Sorry! I am not interested in that at all. But I do see a lot of my friends who are addicted to that application. So I got scared and never dared to try that one out because I'm afraid I might end up being addicted to that application just like them! hahaha.......furthermore, it involves participation from your friends to help out at your farm......so, I don't want an application that will annoy my friends. I only like the ones that I can play on my own without disturbing other people. :)

Apart from being able to reconnect with my old school mates and ex-varsity mates...I also use Facebook as a tool to find new friends....networking and connecting with my fans there. Kinda funny huh? Having fans hehehehe. Never thought there would be a chance to have fans. But it's nice to know that there are people who appreciate and love what I do......even though there are times when I feel so sick of my own work.  LOL! It helps motivate me to improve in what I do, most definitely!

For the past month now I realised how much time Facebook has taken away from me daily. My addiction with Facebook prevented me from doing more meaningful things in my life. I was not productive in a way. Although the games were no longer the main reason why I go there......it's just about hanging around there that makes me happy.....weird huh? I guess because most of my friends are there. Hanging out virtually in other words hahahaha..... But it's unhealthy ya! I should be hanging out with real friends outside the house. :) Go figure!

Once I have pulled myself away from it.......I find that there was more time for me to spend on my blogs....and my work especially.....I get to experiment on new materials...new techniques....new craft to try out. It's amazing how many things I can do once I stayed away from Facebook! LOL! Well....to be honest...it's not like I could stay completely away from it........but the fact that I could stay at least 80% off it is good enough for me. I no longer feel the urge to update my status at my Facebook profile page everyday like I used to.......I just didn't know why I should anymore...and yet it used to be something I really enjoyed doing. :P. But Facebook will remain one of my favourite sites to visit every now and then.......mainly because of my friends...and fans. Will not forget them! It's only because of them that I stayed.......otherwise I would have deleted the account long time ago hehehehhe :)

Pizza Hut's Fish King Pizza

Hahahahahhaha.......just yesterday I was talking about losing the weight and wanting to work out more.....suddenly today my Mom and Aunt went and bought this Pizza Hut's Fish King Pizza for our lunch!!!! Arrrggghhh! This is all because my Mom wanted to give some of it to our maid, Rose. You see.....months ago, my Mom wanted to order pizzas for us and Rose to eat before Rose went home after work in the evening. So my Mom ordered  the pizzas through the delivery service. We waited and waited for more than an hour for the pizza guy to deliver the pizzas to us. By right, the deal was, the pizzas has to be delivered to us still hot in the package in about 30 minutes or less. But the guy was really late because he got lost when trying to find our house and by the time he arrived the pizzas were cold. That really made my Mom upset! So much so that she didn't want to take the pizzas at all.....and asked the guy to return them back to Pizza Hut. Haiyaaaaaa........I pity the guy but it was his fault though.....because he was suppose to call us for directions if he got lost. My Mom even called Pizza Hut so many times to ask the pizza guy to call her for directions since he couldn't find our house. But he didn't.......male ego I guess....trying to show how smart he is.....He should realise that customers are always right. If he is at fault....then he should have just admit it. So....because he was late.....Rose never got to eat her pizza.........and she had to go home empty handed.

So ever since that incident.....we never ordered pizza anymore through the delivery service. And since we couldn't depend on the delivery service.....we had to go out and buy it ourselves at the Pizza Hut Restaurant. The day never came for us to have the opportunity to go out and buy until today. :) So today, my Mom's wish was granted and everybody was happy because the pizza tasted great. This is the first time we tried the new pizza......and it's so yummy compared to the usual pizza offered at Pizza Hut because it has mayonnaise in it. I really think that the mayonnaise is the reason why it tasted so good. They didn't put any tomato sauce on the pizza at all....and the cheese was really thick! There was also some crab fingers in it.......which I'm not suppose to eat....heh! I'm not suppose to eat mayonnaise either....but what the heck! LOL! Just this one time! Why not ya? :P The Alaskan Pollock fish fingers on top of the pizza was good as well. So.....in other words....I loved it! We all loved it! hahahahahah........yes I do feel guilty about eating it. But this is the last pizza I'll be having for this year. No more pizza till I loose my weight!!! hahahaha!

I didn't even know that there was a contest going on for this Fish King Pizza! If I knew I would have taken photos of us eating it or something hahahahhaa......well, for those out there who are planning to buy this pizza.....don't forget to take shots of yourselves eating it ya! I checked out the contest and it seems pretty easy to enter.....just fill up your particulars and upload the photos online....no need to write any slogan whatsoever! I love it when I don't have to write slogans......I'm not good at writing slogans at all hahahaha.  Here's the link to the contest! :

Out of control....

I felt like crying when I weighed myself this morning. My eyes almost popped out! My God......it's no longer a laughing matter.....I need to get down to business. I do not want to be in that situation again where I can't fit into my favourite jeans or blouse. CONTROL YOURSELF LIN!!!! Get a grip!!!

Huhuhhuhuhuhuhuhu......I didn't realise it was going to get this far....I really thought that I was in control of my own diet and was able to maintain it....but alas....I failed my own program :(. So starting tomorrow I'm going to get back on track with my workouts and be in the weight I was before I gained those extra pounds!

Thinking back on my eating habits for the past month I realised how this could have happened. It's probably because of the mangkuk tingkat food I've been taking. It's fattening! LOL! Yummy and fattening! Before taking the mangkuk tingkat food, my Mom and I were doing so well with our diet.......and then it all came crashing down with all those yummy food we've been stuffing ourselves with. I'm really worried about this since we are still taking that service. :(

I guess what I need to do now is......take more fiber in my diet......drink more water.....and workout even more than I did before......take out all those sugary products from my eating list......hmmmm.....it sounds so simple when writing it down.....but when it comes to actually doing it...sob sob sob.....WHY IS IT SO HARD TO DO?????!!!!!! I'm so upset with myself actually for letting it get this far. :(

I'm supposed to be working out with my Aunt now that she's living here.......but since she is so busy with her house renovation, she refuse to accompany me in my daily workouts. So I'm still without a workout partner for the time being. Sigh.......so I guess, I'm on my own as usual.........gotta focus on the target.....and make it happen!!! Chaiyo! Chaiyo!!!

Under The Tuscan Sun

I saw this movie last night........so beautiful.....another beautiful film on channel 413 Star Movies, Astro.  It's a must see movie!! When I saw it last night, it had already started about 15 minutes I think........so I didn't see it from the beginning. Immediately when I saw Diane Lane starring in it as the main character.....I got stuck and stayed till the end  of the movie because I knew if she was starring in it, it must be a great movie to watch! It usually is! :)

Only after the movie was over that I realized the movie was based on a memoir of the same name. Written by Frances Mayes.....the character acted by Diane Lane. She was perfect for the part....just perfect! I would love to read the memoir....I'm sure it's more beautiful than watching the movie itself. :)

Read about the plot below (taken from Wikipedia):
"Frances Mayes (Diane Lane) is a San Francisco writer whose seemingly perfect life has just taken an unexpected detour. She finds out at a party that she's hosting, from a writer to whom she had given a bad review of his book, that her husband has been cheating on her. Her recent divorce has left her depressed and with terminal writer's block, and her best friend Patti (Sandra Oh), a lesbian who is expecting a child, is beginning to think Frances might never recover. Patti convinces her to take an Italian vacation, to Tuscany, but it's on a gay tour (Patti and her partner Grace (Kate Walsh) had booked it for themselves, but changed plans after Patti became pregnant). At first she refuses, but then after being in her new, gloomy apartment, she decides that it is a good idea to get away for a little while after all. In Tuscany, while stopping in a small town she sees a notice about a villa for sale, in Cortona. Then while the passengers are back on the tour bus, the bus has to stop to let a herd of sheep pass, and Frances realizes that they've stopped in front of the very villa that she had seen for sale, something she believes is a sign. She asks the driver to stop and she gets off the bus. In a series of serendipitous events she becomes the owner of a lovely yet dilapidated villa in beautiful Tuscany. From this point her life begins anew with a variety of interesting characters and unusual but gentle Polish immigrants to renovate the house. Over time, Frances also befriends her Italian neighbors and develops relationships with her Polish workers, the realtor who sold her the villa, and Katherine, an eccentric, aging, British actress. Later, she is visited by the now very pregnant Patti, whose partner Grace has left her. Frances does meet a romantic interest, Marcello, but it does not last, and she is about to give up on happiness when two young lovers come to her for help. Eventually, she finds the fulfillment she was searching for in a wedding at the villa, where she also meets an American writer who is traveling in Tuscany. The movie ends with a new love in her life."

There were a few lines in the movie that captured my heart.......it made perfect sense to me. Mostly I love what character Katherine said in the movie, played by Lindsay Duncan....her quotes from the movie are the best. I also love quotes from Frances herself.... :)

Katherine:
- "Regrets are a waste of time. They're the past crippling you in the present."

- "No matter what happens, always keep your childish innocence. It's the most important thing."

- "Grow in every direction you can and things will come your way. Experiment where you want."

 Frances:
 - "I looked for it and I didn't find it — but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist."

- "What is it about love that makes us so stupid?"

- Do you know the most surprising thing about divorce? It doesn't actually kill you. Like a bullet to the heart or a head-on car wreck. It should. When someone you've promised to cherish till death do you part says "I never loved you," it should kill you instantly. You shouldn't have to wake up day after day after that, trying to understand how in the world you didn't know. The light just never went on, you know. I must have known, of course, but I was too scared to see the truth. Then fear just makes you so stupid.

I also love this tag line from the movie:
- "Life offers you a thousand chances... all you have to do is take one."

I would love to watch this movie again.....and again .....and again.... :)

Sleepy head...

Oh my goodness.....I can't tell you how sleepy I am feeling right now. Since dawn till right this instant.....so sleepy and my head feels heavy. I think it has something to do with the cold weather. Since last night till now.....it's been raining non stop.....sometimes heavy and sometimes drizzling......so you can imagine why I feel so extra extra sleepy now. No point taking large dosage of coffee.....because IT DOESN"T WORK! My bed is calling me.....come to sleep Lin......come to sleeeeepppppp.......come to sleeeeepppppppp........hahahahahaha LOL!

But I can't!!! No! I shall not surrender myself to my comfy bed and fluffy pillow....no no no!! There are lots of work to be done today and I need to get them done pronto! So.....maybe I'll go and jump up and down a few times to make myself feel more awake and energetic......

A close call!

I almost lost access to my blogs and gmail account earlier.....sob sob......my heart almost burst out of my chest!!! I wanted cryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!! I got all panicky and sweating all over trying to figure out how to access my gmail account back. I couldn't understand what just happened. The Blogger and Gmail wouldn't accept my password!!!!! Folding your t-shirts the smart way...

Years ago when I watched the Martha Stewart show on TV......she showed us how to fold a t-shirt the smart and also the fast way I must say .......which really really surprised me! I never knew before that there is such a way you can fold a t-shirt that fast! I am not sure who invented this technique though but whoever did came up with this idea is a genius! LOL!

You know how lazy I am when it comes to doing my laundry right? Well.....the same goes when it comes to folding them up after they are cleaned and dried. It's such a boring activity for me to do. But once I have learn how to do it the smart way......it becomes a fun activity hahahhaha......*yeah right* :P. I'm a very practical person.....always looking for new ways to make my chores less of a burden.....make it less time consuming as well for busy people like me hehehehe....

But seriously......you guys should watch this video and give it a try coz I'm already an expert in folding the t-shirt this way. It's so easy and it makes my wardrobe looks so fancy because of the shirts folded neatly in it. Seriously it looks like the folded shirts at the departmental stores. SO neat!!!

Laundry woes....

Early this morning I got a warning from my Mom regarding my laundry issues. You see I washed a whole load of my laundry yesterday evening......so much so that the whole drying area where we hang the washed laundry is crowded with my laundry alone. Since my Aunt is here for a few weeks.....this means that the drying area got even more crowded whenever 3 people do their laundry on the same day.

For me......all this is just trivial issues that my Mom likes to make a big deal of. You know, it's not like we are going to have problems hanging the clean laundry everyday.......it just so happens that yesterday I washed all of them up.....therefore consuming a lot of space at the drying area. So it's not an everyday affair......

Sometimes I'm not able to do my laundry when I want to coz my Mom would want to do it on the same day as I do. She would book the washing machine for her laundry and therefore I can't use it sometimes for a few days....she likes to do her laundry batch by batch......whenever she feels like it. :P Thus making it difficult for me to do my laundry when I have the time to do so. I just don't understand why can't she just finish doing one batch and let me do mine later after that.......why must she wait till all of  the batches are done before I can do mine.......it's so annoying. Mom......other people want to use the washing machine too you know!

Another thing is that we have 2 washing machines.......one automatic....and the other  one is manual......the manual one is so damn old and yet we love to use that one coz it's easier to manage. I told my Mom before she bought the automatic one that she shouldn't buy it because even though it's convenient to use (just dump all your laundry in it and it will wash, rinse and spin dry for you) .....it's actually wasting a lot of water. Since my Mom is the type who likes to save every little drop of water during laundry time......the automatic machine is not a suitable machine for her to use. I know this must be confusing for those reading this post to understand why is it not suitable for my Mom to use it......since you have no idea how she does her laundry.....and it's kinda complicated for me to explain here how she does it since there are so many long and winding steps she takes from the beginning till the end of the washing process :P.

So since she insisted on buying one....I was not able to say anything about it laaaa.  It's her money.....she can buy whatever she wants. But now....she hardly even use it. Most of the time she will be using the old manual one. I just don't get it!!!!!!! Urrrrrggggghhhh!!!! Why buy it if you are not going to use it????!!!! It's beyond my comprehension! So what happens now is that we both would be fighting over who gets to use the old washing machine hahahahhaa........I hate using the automatic one.......I love the manual......sigh......I guess this will be a never ending battle until I get my own house.....with my own washing machine. LOL!

Sailing - Christopher Cross

I don't know why I had this song in my mind the whole day today........humming it while working.....and singing it when no one is around at home. Somehow this song calms me down.....puts me at ease......a cozy comfortable feeling. This song was so famous back in the 80s.....and STILL is a favorite with me till now.

SAILING - CHRISTOPHER CROSS

It's not far down to paradise
At least it's not for me
And if the wind is right you can sail away
And find tranquility
The canvas can do miracles
Just you wait and see
Believe me

It's not far to never never land
No reason to pretend
And if the wind is right you can find the joy
Of innocence again
The canvas can do miracles
Just you wait and see
Believe me

Sailing
Takes me away
To where I've always heard it could be
Just a dream and the wind to carry me
And soon I will be free

Fantasy
It gets the best of me
When I'm sailing
All caught up in the reverie
Every word is a symphony
Won't you believe me

It's not far back to sanity
At least it's not for me
And when the wind is right you can sail away
And find serenity
The canvas can do miracles
Just you wait and see
Believe me

Yes......the canvas can do miracles indeed.......just you wait and see......believe me.....it will :)

JUNE!!!

Can you believe it??!!! Today is already 1st of June! My God! How time flies away so fast.....we are entering month number 6! I still have not yet reached my goals ......the goals that I have set on 1st of January. Gosh....it's so scary to think that I only have a few more months before the year ends to do what I've set up to do at the beginning of the year.

Errrrrmmmm......I don't think I'll be posting anymore stories about the mangkuk tingkat from now onwards.....I think I've talked too much about it already last month hahahahaha.....so the one month's challenge is over and now we've renewed the order for June. The fact that we are continuing with the service shows that we are pretty happy with it. Otherwise we wouldn't have even consider it anymore. My Mom managed to help promote the service to all her friends and guests who came over to our kenduri doa selamat yesterday.......looks like a lot of them were interested...hehehehe. We did receive the last mangkuk tingkat delivery for the month of May yesterday but I wasn't able to take photos of it and share it here because I was so busy with the kenduri and all that I forgot completely about it. My Mom went and put the food in the fridge and later reheat them for dinner without telling me.....and so all is ruined! The last shot was ruined....huhuhuhuhu. I really wanted to take that last shot but was not able to......oh well....what to do....itu la dikatakan takde rezeki namanya. :(

I would like to think that I've been working really hard for the past 5 months.....although the results are not very prominent, I am happy that at least I'm heading somewhere with it. I've just recently found a way of improving my working system....slowly learning to organize....although I think it's hard to be organized when your mind is a mess hahahaha.....but I'm trying :). I seriously need to write down on paper what I really want to achieve every month... I'm going to achieve them if possible. I know if I don't write it down and view them everyday, then I'll forget. So seeing it will help me remember what my goals are and keep on working on it.

After talking to Auntie Som Chit yesterday about health and well being......I'm motivated again to do my workouts. It's been a while since I last did a really good workout......I've been cheating with my exercise routines everyday......not doing it 100%.....no wonder I'm still not slim yet hahahaha......still the same old chubby me. It's not easy to get back in good shape.......but if I don't push myself to do it, then no one else can......it's up to me to decide. Do or do not.....there is no try.

Yesterday during the kenduri, one of my aunts brought up the subject of marriage to me ....urrrggghhhhh......that really dropped the bomb shell! I really can't stand talking about it anymore.....especially nowadays. I just don't see "it" happening to me. But if it does.....I'll be sure to tell the whole world about it....hahahahaha LOL! Naaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh......I think the next time it happens......I'm going to keep it a secret....hehehe. Not telling anybody anymore...... :P
