Moths

Just as I thought that my weekend was going to be pretty plain......something out of the ordinary happened! :) Two moths appeared in front of my eyes this morning to greet me as I went out to pick up the dry laundry I washed yesterday.

I encountered the first one wrapped in my blue towel as I carried it inside the house. I didn't realise that it was clinging on the towel all along. Poor thing was wrapped up together with the other dried laundry I pick up outside the house. While I was picking up the towel and was going to fold it, suddenly I saw something flew off of it  and up it went flying around the room! I was so freaked out I screamed!! I thought that it was some kind of a big scary insect!! I didn't have a clue what it was in the beginning. The first thing that came to my mind was could it be a big scary cockroach?! LOL! I thought it was going to bite me. When it finally got tired of flying around in the house, it rested on the wooden glass panel. That's when I got the chance to get a closer look at it. I was so relieved to find out that it was just a harmless moth. Phew! A big one though! :)

Just as I thought it was over, I encountered another one outside the house......and guess where the second one was? On my blue underwear! LOL!! The second one was a big one too.....but it had a different design on it's wings. I couldn't shake it off and so I let it stay on it. I assumed that the moth was drying it's wings. Probably it just came out of it's cocoon....that explains why it won't budge. I didn't know what to do......so I took the underwear with the moth clinging on it and placed it on one of the trees in the garden. hahahahaha.....at least it's close to nature where it belongs. Whenever it's ready, it can fly straight into our garden :).

Strange thing is........why did both the moth stayed on blue items?? Weird ya? Both my towel and underwear are blue in color.......wonder why they both preferred blue?? Hmmmm.....perhaps they both love the same  favourite color as I do.....hahahaha. ;)

Hi, Lin.

I am always taking some insect outside too. I just can't stand to kill anything living. But I don't like insects flying around my house either.

Blue is my favorite color too and it has been since I was a child. My bedroom walls are painted in blue!!!

I love all shades of blue.

Even though I have a clothes dryer in the house, all of my laundry is dried outside. Love that smell on the clothes.
