There is a new fashion boutique in town at Kompleks Perniagaan Sultan Abdul Hamid called J'Amelia Boutique that has just opened for business on the 1st of July 2010. I had the opportunity to do a survey just a few days after it's launching. J stands for Jamil...who is the owner's husband and her name is Amelia.
I bought my "baju kurung moden" there for Raya recently. A new baju raya at last, after years and years of recycling old ones from my wardrobe hahahahha. I really love the material of the new baju kurung moden so much! And the color is gorgeous hehehe.....well, in my opinion la....hehehehe. When I first tried it, it fitted me perfectly as if it was tailored made for me. I am not the type who likes to buy baju kurung off the rack. I usually go to a tailor and custom made one for me because it's so difficult to get a baju kurung that actually fits me well. For years now I have been so lazy to go to a tailor and make a new one for myself. I've been to the fabric shop a few times before though to find fabric for my baju kurung but every time I go there, I feel lost! I could never decide on a specific pattern to buy. So I always end up going home empty handed.
So what made me change my mind this year? What made me buy a new baju raya? I guess the color of the fabric that I saw on that baju kurung moden blew me away. The design itself is not even fancy at all.....it's so simple.....but when I saw it.....I knew I had to buy it. I just knew. I had to own it. Usually girls would love to have baju kurung with tons of sequins and beads on them. But not me. I'm the type who prefers simple yet beautiful baju kurung. It has to be comfortable. I have to be able to move around comfortably in it. And at the same time looking good in it too. :)
Do check out this boutique. You just might find the right baju raya for yourself this year. I know I did :)

as lak da betaun2 beli baju kosong cuz me love simple things too! tp taun ni kene pakai corak.. err, rs klaka pulak.. ngaa~
Alamak! Canna As tahu???? hehehe! Yup! It's blue + emerald green... :). Ada corak skit jer...very minimal and almost non visible actually. Samar2 jer coraknya. Most of the fabric is plain. So that's why I love it so much other than the fact that the color is so gorgeous hehehe.. Nanti bila raya I will upload the photo ye. Sekarang takleh tunjuk lagi...kasi surprise hehehe
I guess we both love simple things patterns ya? Memang sesuai dengan jiwa kita kan? :)
