The Mexican

Last night my Mom and I watched "THE MEXICAN" on TV2. It's not a new movie......it was made in 2001.....I've never watched it before from beginning to the end. I have watched like snippets of it...but never the whole story......so last night I managed to watch it all.  My God....I never thought this type of action movie can actually make me cry! Can't tell  you how many tissue paper was sacrificed during the whole show...LOL! How can I describe to you  how interesting this film is and how great the message about love was told in this story.

It's about a man (Brad Pitt),who tries to transport an ancient gun called The Mexican, believed to carry a curse, back across the border, while his girlfriend (Julia Roberts), pressures him to give up his criminal ways. At first I thought I didn't want to watch it because I wanted to finish up my work but I ended up watching it from my working room LOL! So I watched and during the commercials I worked hahahaha......teruknye!! I couldn't help it....I was pulled in the story.....stuck like a magnet! I would say that the character played by James Gandolfini (Winston) in this movie was the best! I cried a lot because of him! huhuhuhu......such a sensitive person for a cold blooded killer hehehe......the bond he and Samantha had in this movie was so great.....like best buddies.....I cried like hell when Jerry (Brad Pitt) shot Winston in head.....I just couldn't accept it! Why oh whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy did he have to die! So sad.......huhuhuhuhu

It's amazing how this Winston who is a gay guy and a cold blooded killer could form a great bond  with Samantha during the hostage period.....they discussed about the problems in relationships....hers with Jerry.....and Winston's as well......he gave a lot of good advise to her. I wish I had a friend like that whom I can discuss about relationships that way......I think we all need that.

The screenplay in this movie was really really great......there wasn't a time at all throughout the movie when I felt bored.....it was non stop action and interesting way of telling the story. That's what makes a movie great....it's in the story telling. It has to be interesting....different.....definitely different......you guys have to see it if you haven't seen it before!

Best dialogue in the movie for me would be this:
Samantha:  I have to ask you a question. It's a good one so think about it. If two people love each other, but they just can't seem to get it together, when do you get to that point of enough is enough?
Jerry: Never.

Another one of my favourite dialogues would be the one where Samantha and Winston went out to have breakfast and they talked about relationships again at the restaurant.....this time about Winston and Frank......how Frank could accept Winston for who he is no matter what or who he was before.......he told Samantha what Frank said to him.....it goes something like this....."The past does not matter......it's the future that counts......" ........God.....that made me cryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy..........huhuhuhuhu.......it's so beautiful!!!!

Watch this movie if you have not yet seen it......a must watch!!!!
